Description
Founded in 1946, as „Heidenauer Gummiwerke“ the company started with the production of molded rubber articles. After a rapid development of the market Heidenau started with the production of tires for cars and motorbikes in 1950 .
To meet the growing demand, the production in the following years has been continuously expanded. In 1953 already 100.000 tires had been produced. With the growing cycle and motorcycle market the production of those tires became more and more important for Heidenau. So the Heidenau production has been specialized in motorcycle tires.
From 1969 till 1993 Heidenau has been integrated into the „Pneumant“ group, a state enterprises of the GDR (German Democratic Republic ). During this time Heidenau was responsible for the production of all two-wheeler tires of the Pneumant brand. This period was finished in 1993 and the Reifenwerk Heidenau GmbH & Co. KG has been founded as an independent company. Focused on the production of two-wheeler-tires, Heidenau‘s product range was expanded to Kart and special purpose tires. Starting in 1993 with 35 tire sizes, we are now in a position to offer a range of 550 tire designs for a lot of diversified applications. The basis for this development is the close contact to our customers who give us new challenges we can face up. The permanent effort to meet these requirements, our flexible production processes and the motivated staff is the fundamental basis to grow in international competition.
